No matter when you finish, these gift guides will surely help you find what you need. (You may even find a few items to add to your own Christmas list!)
The holidays truly are ‘the most wonderful time of the year’. Is there anyone who doesn’t start making hot cocoa as soon as possible? I break out my decorations and Christmas music fairly early. (Are you someone who starts getting into all those holiday vibes sooner rather than later? Let me know in the comments!)
Gift buying is also an iconic part of November/December. Black Friday rolls around, and it’s a shopping frenzy! It can be a little stressful if you aren’t sure what you’re looking for, but I’m here to help. You can sit back, relax and let the Christmas season begin!

We all love a great Amazon find, right? Sometimes you don’t know what you need until you find it. Here are some of my favorite random Amazon finds that I’m sure you’ll love as much as I do.
We all love a great Amazon find, right? Sometimes you don’t know what you need until you find it. I constantly find myself searching for a certain item, only to come across something else I love. Can you relate? Here are some of my favorite random Amazon finds that I’m sure you’ll love as much as I do.
We can all use a little spontaneity, can’t we? What better way to do it than to find an item you love while online shopping? It can be a fun way to pass time and either decorate your home, office, or to complete work or a morning routine. Amazon has it all.
Sometimes, I’ll be searching for a specific tool or item on Amazon, then I’ll click an incorrect button and get totally sidetracked for a while.
That said, I’ve heard that this happens to a lot of people, though, so we aren’t alone! Here are a few random Amazon items that I found accidentally, but absolutely love!
1. Letter Board
These are wonderful for displaying a quote of the day, welcome sign, etc. They have also been trending on Instagram, with it’s own hashtag! There are so many styles to match the theme of your home or workspace. Below are a few of my favorite boards that I think you’ll enjoy as well.
Simply put, a bullet journal is an artistic way to organize and plan. You can find a list of my favorite bullet journals below, and you can click here to check out my post on “How to Start a Bullet Journal”.
Who doesn’t love a bit of boho decor? A hanging macrame is a unique and creative way to spruce up your walls and home. You can have several complimentary ones throughout your house as well! Here is a link to the wall hanging macrame page on Amazon.
A faux sheepskin rugs are great for decorating any space. They come in so many shapes, sizes and colors so it’s hard to go wrong. Below are a few rugs that I love. There is only one link, but you can see a variety of colors and shapes to choose from.
This accent piece is sure to spruce up any wall. If you are looking for something unique to add to your home, this is highly recommended item. I don’t own one personally, but I would definitely get my hands on a few if I had the room. The wood or backing can come in several different stains or colors, and some can be customized.
A storage basket is a unique way to store laundry it a bedroom or dorm. Smaller ones can hold accessories, books or other miscellaneous items. A storage basket can double as a way to personalize a space. If you don’t like the idea of a small rope storage basket, you can find metal or wicker ones. A few of my favorites are linked below.
Adding a few pillows that match the season is a creative way to add a moody pop of color to your home. While it’s always pretty to have a cohesive cushion theme throughout the year, sometimes it adds a fresh look when you mix it up. Below are a few pillow covers that I love.
I love my wax diffuser because it brightens up my room. You can always match the design to your home or apartment and change out the scent according to seasons or moods. In fact, rather than having a diffuser that sits on a shelf or dresser, you can actually find a mini one that fits onto a wall. (Sometimes, they even double as a nightlight!) I recommend a peppermint scent because it clears out your sinuses. It also reminds me of Christmas, and who doesn’t love that??
Calling all travelers! A wall map is perfect for you if you love to travel. A wall map can be a tapestry, but my favorite is the three-dimensional cork push pin maps because you can mark places you’ve been (or places you want to go). They come in so many different designs, but I recommend a neutral scheme. If you choose a wall tapestry, I always think it adds an extra detail if you line the top with a few strands of fairy lights.
If you have the space, this item is a must have. There are so many creative ideas that you can easily incorporate into this. You can hang books, plants, trinkets, etc. It also adds so much character to whatever area you are designing. You’ll want to get get your hands on these!
Apparently I have a thing for macrame! A wall is never complete without a mirror, and an accent mirror is the perfect way to add a bit of personality to a wall, that you can also use every day. I’m always a fan of simple mirrors, but I’ve also attached a few bolder mirrors as well.
Happy shopping! Maybe while you’re scrolling through these, you’ll find something else that you love. If so, don’t hesitate to tell me! I’d love to hear it. As for now, enjoy your picks and I’ll see you next week!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a little while, you might have noticed that a decent amount of my posts mention summer shopping. Summer shopping is so much fun if you know what you’re looking for. I don’t know about you, but I love hearing about cute and trendy brands that are new. Of course, I also appreciate going back to my original faves. Here are a few of my favorite brands that you should totally go check out! *psst: there might be a special coupon code ;)*
Usually, my roundup posts don’t have a specific order, but I feel like I have to put Sand Cloud first for this post. Not only do they sell adorable merchandise, they are focused on conserving our planet and the marine ecosystem. They sell the cutest (eco-friendly) t-shirts, drinkware, socks and Turkish beach towels. (If you don’t know what a Turkish towel is, you should search it. They are amazing!). Also, 10% of every purchase goes toward marine conservation, so they give back to the environment! I am also a brand ambassador for Sand Cloud, so I have a special coupon code for you to use as well! You can find a link to their website here. Use my code BUSYANDBEAMING880 to get 20% off your purchase!
2. Altar’d State
For those of you who read my post titled “Top 5 Places to Shop this Summer,” you may have seen Altar’d State on that list. Altar’d State is a Christian retail store, but they only sell their own brand. They sell contemporary and modest clothing. Every time I visit Altar’d State, I always end up with something. You can find a link to their website here.
3. Serengetee (Sar-en-get-ee)
Serengetee is another brand that I absolutely love. They focus on everything travel and outdoor. In fact, their slogan is “Travel More.” They sell travel t-shirts and sweatshirts as well as koozies and passport holders (to name a few). Like Sand Cloud, they are also a charitable business that provides jobs to artisans and donates 10% to them. I am happy to say that I am a Brand Rep for them as well! You can use my code BUSYANDBEAMING for 15% off your purchase. Click here to shop Serengetee.
4. Nature Backs
Nature Backs is quite another outdoor based company. (There’s a bit of a theme to this post). They have pretty shirt lineups with different colors coordinating with times of the day (ie, a maroon shirt for sunrise, a charcoal grey shirt for dusk etc). They have new themes fairly often. You can find a link to Nature Backs here.
5. North Face
The North Face is a super well known brand, but I couldn’t resist adding it. I recently bought a backpack and a raincoat there, and I love their products! (I have the women’s Recon backpack). Not only does it hold my laptop and everything I could ever need to take with me, but it is also incredibly durable.
There you have it! I hope you enjoy these brands and what they stand for. Don’t forget to use my coupon code for 15%-20% off your purchase, and feel free to comment below! I love to hear feedback. Bsure to join the Community for extra freebies and coupon codes. See you next week!
This summer, dressing in accordance with trends is a little challenging since we aren’t going out as much anymore. However, as stores and restaurants begin to reopen, we will finally be able to wear our cute summer outfits again! So, without further ado, let’s get this show on the road!
This summer, dressing in accordance with trends is a little challenging. Since we aren’t going out as much anymore, it really isn’t necessary. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been spending my days in sweatpants and a sweatshirt or a swimsuit – not outerwear. But, as stores and restaurants begin to reopen, we will finally be able to wear our cute summer outfits again! So, without further ado, let’s get this show on the road!
When everything reopens again, I can assure you that I will be super excited to go out into town again! Finding these trendy outfits are not at all hard to do, as they can pretty much all be found at Target or Amazon. They can also be shipped to you if you don’t feel up to shopping inside a crowded store. Not only are these outfits super cute, but they also fit nicely into a tighter budget. If you need a place to shop this summer, check out my favorite ones in my post about the best places to shop. Check them out here. Enjoy this post!
1. Cross – Ruffled Skirt
A solid colored or polka dotted ruffled skirt is so cute to wear in the fall and in the summer. It pairs perfectly with a white t-shirt or vans. My favorite cross ruffled skirt is a maroon red with white spots on it. I love wearing gold jewelry with cross ruffled skirts as well. You can get one from Alter’d State. (It’s kind of hard to tell in the pic, but there is a ruffle. You can definitely tell when it is being worn.)
2. Retro T-Shirt
An off – white retro (and loose) shirt with a fun saying or design on it is one of the top styles this summer. You can get them almost anywhere for a really awesome price. My favorite vintage shirts are from Target. Prices range from around ten dollars to twenty dollars.
3. Tie – up Tank Top
Tie up tank tops are SO cute, especially during the summer time. While I don’t have one myself, I fully intend to get my hands on one eventually. I see them all the time at shops such as Alter’d State. I’m sure you could buy them on Amazon or at Target as well.
4. Striped Shorts
Striped shorts, especially ones with a matching/built in fabric belt is definitely one of this summer’s must haves. You can get them for around ten – fifteen dollars at Target or even Amazon. This trend has been around for a long time, and I don’t see it going out of style anytime soon.
5. Solid White T-Shirt
Solid white shirts are a general clothing necessity. They are nice to wear underneath a sweater, and can be paired with any shorts/skirts/pants. Your white shirt will look wonderful with gold or rose gold layered necklace (which is also trendy) and possibly a black or navy blue accent piece such as a handbag or watch. You can get them for around ten dollars. I would say that Target or Amazon (or T.J. Maxx) has the best prices.
6. Loose Long Sleeved T-Shirt
A loose or oversized long sleeved t-shirt or sweater is a trendy idea for this summer. This idea would look amazing if you plan on dining inside a casual restaurant, or an activity along those lines. This outfit isn’t particularly meant for a fancy location. Some would opt to save this style for autumn, when the weather becomes cooler. Sweaters can be found on Amazon or Target (they really do have everything!) for around fifteen – twenty dollars.
7. Hollister Shirt
Shirts from the brand Hollister are simply the cutest if you pick the right color that matches your hair color and skin tone. (For paler blondes, I recommend red). While all of the merchandise at Hollister is great, t-shirts with the brand name across the front are the trendiest.
8. Striped Shirt
Honestly, there are so many styles of striped shirts. (ie. shirts covered in thin stripes, shirts covered in bulky stripes etc.) While all of these are definitely in style, shirts with only a few thin stripes across the front or shirts with inky a few bulky stripes are the trendiest. I would also like to say that photo creds for images 2-8 go to my friend Kaylee!
Hopefully you found something to spark your interest in this summer’s trends. When you find yourself out and about again, please be sure to wear a mask and distance yourself to keep you and others safe and healthy!

Summer is literally one of my favorite things to do in the summer. It’s so much fun to go through clothing racks and find cute outfits or shoes to wear around town. Lucky for you, I have some awesome stores with absolutely adorable clothes and brilliant prices! In related news, I’ve also recently published a post on my Favorite Summer Brands. Don’t forget to check it out. Let’s get into the best summer shopping stops!!
In high school, having a good look or style is important. (It isn’t everything though!). Finding a wonderful place to shop at is key to finding a style. But sometimes, designer brands can be super pricey.
Am I right?
Fortunately, there are some hot-spots to go shopping if you have a low budget, and in this blog post, I’m going to give you my top five stores where you can either blow all your money without feeling guilty about it, or you can go in for a one stop shop (and, if your like me, maybe get a little bit distracted)
*Disclaimer* this post does NOT contain affiliate links
1. GAP Outlet
Before you let the name give you an incorrect first impression, let me just tell you that this is my actual all time FAVORITE place to shop. Not only is it super cheap, but you can get NAME BRAND clothes (such as Athleta) for at least 40% off. Items that get returned from places like Athleta comes to a GAP outlet, as long as the return wasn’t for a massive reason, and the product is still able to be sold. Once, I bought an sweater at the GAP outlet for $20 that had an $80 catalogue price. The discounts are amazing here! Come quickly because things sell out quickly and might never come back. If you don’t like what you see one day, I also recommend returning because new items arrive every week!
I don’t know of a single person who doesn’t know about Target, but I thought I would add it anyway because it is one of my favorite summer stores. Almost all of my room decor came from Target and the prices were amazing. Target also has super cute clothing. While it is a little bit on the pricier side (compared to the GAP outlet), you can still get everything you’d want or need for a reasonable cost.
3. Rose & Remington
Ok. Rose and Remington is super amazing. While it is more high dollar, what you get is worth every penny. Not only do they sell clothing, they also sell super cute jewelry. I get some of my fall wardrobe from Rose and Remington, and everything there so comfortable and fashionable. Rose and Remington stores are typically few and far between, but if you can find one, I recommend stopping by.
4. T.J. Maxx
T.J. Maxx is also a wonderful place to visit. While it is sometimes hit or miss, they usually have beautiful shoes for all occasions with a high discount, and gorgeous jewelry. T.J. Maxx is where I go when I am looking for one specific item, but sometimes it is easy to get sidetracked a little bit. While T.J. Maxx won’t use up all your money like Target, they may not always have what you are looking for. If you plan on coming to T.J. Maxx, make sure to have plenty of time on your hands to browse around.
5. Alter’d State
Last but not least – Alter’d State. I know I said before that all of these shops and stores would be low cost, but I couldn’t resist adding this one. While they may be expensive, the products sold in this store are absolutely fabulous. At Alter’d State, you can purchase anything from a simple/casual outfit to perfumes and homecoming dresses. Alter’d State is also Christian based, and is similar to Rose & Remington. If you happen to come across this store with a decent budget, DO NOT pass this one up!
There you have it! Hopefully you are able to find anything you want/need at my five favorite summer stores! As always, remember to have fun and keep smiling!
